We are excited for our return this summer to an in-person program on the campus of Windward Community College. IABK focuses on growing the individual creativity and performance capabilities of each student, and features small groups and one-on-one sessions in acting and vocal performance with some of the best musical theatre educators on the island. Join us for an incredible growth experience this summer.

For the first time, we are offering an optional full day program in addition to our core experience. The morning program will feature individual scene and song work with one-on-one coaching by our summer staff. Our summer offering includes the experience of performing at the beautiful Paliku Theatre at WCC.

This program is suitable for students entering grades 3-12 in the fall of 2022. High school students have the option of earning college credit for their participation. Please contact us about our Bright and Early Program for more information.

Core Program Tuition (PM session only) $675

Optional Enhanced Theatre Experience (full day) $925

Ronald E. Bright was a Hawai`i theatre arts educator who taught for over 40 years at James B. Castle High School.  He understood intuitively the importance of theatre to education and used his theatre to inspire generations of students.  The I’m A Bright Kid Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization spearheaded by his former students to continue his enduring legacy of the performing arts and education.

Our summer program seeks to recreate the unique learning environment he fostered – one that nurtured thousands of students to reach their full potential both on and off the stage.
